OBJECTIVE
       -This lesson will enable the student to understand metabolism and how to contol body weight safely.

TASKS
       - Read the article about metabolism: "What is Metabolism and Why is it Important?".
       - Read the article about weight management: "Lose or Gain, then Maintain".
       - Read the articles "The Healthy Eating Guide" and "Eat Small Meals to Lose Weight" to learn about the logic behind smaller meal sizes.
       - Watch the video below on "Weight Loss and Body Fat Percentage" and participate in the class discussion questions that follow.
       - Watch the videos below on "The Truth About the Fat Burning Zone" and participate in the class discussion question that follows.
       - Calculate the number of calories that you burn each day using the Daily Needs Calculator.
       - Write a one page paper on what a slightly overweight person should do to change their weight safely and keep it off.  Be sure to include exercise and diet
         recommendations.
